IF YOU HEAR A FIRE ALARM…
EVACUATE via the nearest safe exit.
ASSEMBLE clear of the building at the designated ASSEMBLY AREA on Douglas St. to the South of The Palms Restaurant.
STAY CLEAR of arriving fire department.
DO NOT re-enter the building until cleared by the fire department.
IF YOU DISCOVER A FIRE…
ACTIVATE the nearest fire alarm pull station.
EVACUATE via the nearest safe exit.
CALL 911 to report a fire at 653 Pandora Avenue.
PROCEED to main entrance & report to the fire department.
IF AN EARTHQUAKE OCCURS…
TAKE COVER under the nearest table/desk and hold on to your shelter.
SEEK PROTECTION from glass areas.
WATCH for falling objects—if indoors, STAY INSIDE.
DO NOT evacuate until shaking stops.

Telephone Operating Instructions (Making a Call)
Upon check-in, your phone will be available to make complimentary calls to local numbers only.
Local Dialing
Please dial 9 to get an outside line (Victoria uses 10 digit dialling) followed by the number you wish to call, including area code.
Room to Room
Simply dial the room number you wish to connect with.
Complimentary Wireless Internet
Hotel Rialto is pleased to offer complimentary wireless internet. To connect to the network, locate the Rialto Guest network and when you are prompted to, type in the password you received at check-in. If you experience any difficulties, please contact the front desk.
Mail and Messages
When the red light is flashing on your phone, it is to indicate there is a voice message for you. Follow the instructions on your phone to retrieve voicemail.
Wake Up Calls
Contact the front desk. The call will come from the front desk at your requested time. When you answer the wakeup call you will hear music. Please be sure the ringer is turned on.

Please see the front desk. We are always happy to assist with any reservations and suggestions for activities.
Business Center
Guests have complimentary access to the business center located on the lower lobby. Amenities include a computer with internet access, business hub with copy, print and scan functionality. Please contact the front desk for access.

TV Troubleshooting Instructions
Please use the following steps if the TV is not defaulting to active channels:
- Turn on the TV (top LEFT red button) and Cable box (top RIGHT red button) from remote.
- If you are receiving a NO SIGNAL notification or a static screen, please press the INPUT button on the remote and toggle to HDMI 1 or 2 until you get a picture.
Air Conditioning & Heating
The cooling and heating in your room can only operate effectively when outside doors and/or windows are kept closed. Individual temperature controls are located on the heating/air conditioning unit. Please set the controls for your comfort.
- Press the MODE button to cycle through the various settings (Cool, Heat, Auto, Fan, Dry).
- Once you’ve found your desired setting, use the UP and DOWN arrows to set your temperature.

Ice Machines
Ice machines are located on floors 1 and 3 near the guest elevators.
Fitness Centre
Our fitness centre is located at Studio 4 Athletics on Yates St. Please ask the front desk for a voucher and directions. Hotel guests are entitled to one complimentary visit per paid room night.
In-Room Amenities
The following in-room amenities are to enjoy throughout your stay and are also available for purchase to take home if you wish.

Luggage Assistance
Luggage assistance is available 7:00 am until 11:00 pm or on request through the front desk. Complimentary luggage storage is available for up to 6 hours after check out.

DURING YOUR STAY
Parking
Limited elf parking is available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis in the Jawl Building, kitty-corner to the hotel at a cost of $22 per night plus applicable taxes.
Checking Out
Check out time is 11:00 am. Please present the key(s) to the front desk agent while checking out. Incidentals not billed at the time of check out will be applied to the credit card on file.
Late Check-Out
We are pleased to offer our guests the option of a late check-out up to 2:00 pm for a flat fee of $50. Please inquire at the front desk for availability.
Copy & Fax
Available at the front desk or in the business centre. Copying is 50 cents per page for black & white and $1.00 per page for colour. Faxing is 10 cents per page and subject to long-distance when applicable.
Dry Cleaning
Same day services are available if items to be cleaned are brought to the Front Desk no later than 7am. Alternatively, you can drop off your cleaning before 11pm on day prior. Please contact the Front Desk for dry cleaning bags. We will phone your room when your dry cleaning is returned.
Housekeeping
Daily light housekeeping service. To opt out of this service kindly hang the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign outside your door.
Currency Exchange
Please ask the front desk for directions to the nearest bank or currency exchange.
